Hello, I just joined and while I've seen several images, I haven't found any stories posted here, so I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting this little tale, inspired by Lovecraft's amazing work.

"Delarde, you there?"
"Oui. Hear you loud and clear."
"Good. How's the pod?"
"Warm and cozy. All systems go. Lights, on. Camera… On."
"Okay, Delarde. You're at… 200 meters."
"Alright. Everything looks good down here."
"400 meters… 600 meters… 800 meters… 1000 meters… Delarde?"
"Right here."
"We're letting you go now."
"Roger. Taking control of the pod. Commencing official record."
"Ok, Delarde. Tell us what you see, and good luck."
"Merci, Captain. Approaching the coordinates now. Everything looks clear, no sediment in the water. No… Fish around. Anything…"
"Repeat, Delarde. There was an interference."
"There are no fish."
"Oh. Our biologist expected to see a growing reef. That's a shame."
"Approaching structure now… Qu'est-ce que..? This is no ship, guys."
"What do you mean? A plane?"
"No…"
"Delarde?"
"I'm getting closer. Can you see this? It's a… Building…"
"Yes. We can see it... This is… What is that?"
"Doesn't look like any ruin I've seen before. Do we have anything on a possible sunken city here?"
"No… There are no charted islands in half a day's travel."
"Well-"
"Delarde?"
"I'm here. Can you hear me?"
"Yes. There's an interference. We should check that when you're back. Are you sure it's a building?"
"I'm seeing what looks like doors and windows, Captain, polished lines and curves. I've never seen anything like this… It's some kind of stone."
"Stone? The reading said metal."
"Looks like it's partially sunken in the sand. This is… Massive… It's like black marble with dark green veins…"
"Delarde-"
"I can't recognize any of this… I see hieroglyphs… Reaching closer to an entrance now."
"Delarde, wait. Do you see any fish banks around you?"
"Fish banks..? Turning the pod now… No, there's nothing."
"Well, our live scan still shows a metallic structure and shows a large mass of living, moving creatures. Probably hidden within that thing. Be careful, Delarde."
"Ok. I'm going to-"
"Delarde?"
"-ght here, Captain. Hovering over now… Can you see the- Never seen something like this… This must be- ent. It should be eroded."
"We see it. Delarde, how's the equipment working? We're having issues with the audio."
"Everything's -king fine. Do you see those- They're… sym- tric, becoming smaller- go up toward the en- Have you seen markings li- that before? -on't recognize any of those symbols."
"Delarde, come back. We should check that failure now."
"I see a large- entrance. Heading closer now."
"No. Delarde. Come back, now."
"I saw som- hing. I'm getting sounds-"
"Delarde, come back now. Image is failing."
"But- They're -ing me. I have to go."
"Delarde, what are you talking about? Come back."
"Can you -e them? Their eyes are yellow. They’re calling –"
"Delarde!"
"They're calling me. I need to - They're ca- me. They- cal- e… -ing me…"
